And I have been chronically bored since childhood. As a result, I have spent my entire life trying to entertain myself and hopefully entertain other people along the way. Through storytelling, I have dabbled in piracy, theophagy, mad science, and slowly turning into a bird. I take the things that fascinate me—history and viscera and memory—and put them all in a blender. Then I pour the results into a fancy glass and artfully drizzle it with blood and sprinkle it with soliloquies. Through it all, I am trying to reach out and grab you by the hand, to ask, “Have you felt this too? Have you been this person?”
